S2 E5 The Lessons of Leonardo

Step into the shoes of art detectives and forensic art analysts as they hunt down missing masterpieces in Ovation’s series.  This program traces the history of a famous painting The Lady with an Ermine by Renaissance master artist Leonardo da Vinci.  Lost for centuries, this masterpiece has revealed the workings of the ultimate genius, Leonardo da Vinci.  In addition to detailed images of several of Da Vinci’s most famous paintings, including The Last Supper, the program relates biographical information about the artist, his techniques and inspirations.  We invite you to use the following free education materials.  Program clips can be streamed, and education activities can be downloaded.  These resources support the National Core Arts Standards – Visual Arts, Grades 9-12, and the National Visual Arts Standards, Grades 9-12.
